Truck with remote start installed won't start now
Have GMC Jimmy with remote start. Always had problem with the 2 constant 12v that goes to remote start module. I decided to fix that today with new connectors.
Now truck will not start. I disconnected the 2 12v wires to try and start it without any power to remote start, and the truck will not start still.
I have checked ever wire under the dash to make sure nothing was loose. Could not find any other problem.
When I turn the ignition, all that I get is a loud tick.
What should I look for, what could be wrong?

Here's a few things to check (Since you didn't say what year it was, I picked one )
1999 GMC Truck Jimmy
Starter Solenoid Clicks, Engine Does Not Crank
If the battery voltage is less than 12V, charge it (or replace it if necessary).
If it's greater than 12V:
Turn the ignition switch to the START position.
Measure the voltage between the negative battery terminal and the engine block.
Is the voltage less than the specified value (0.5V)?
If no:
negative battery cable problem
If yes:
Turn the ignition switch to the START position.
Measure the voltage between the starter solenoid terminal B and the appropriate circuit at the battery:
CKT 32 (RED) (2.2L)
CKT 19 (RED) (4.3L)
Is the voltage more than the specified value (0.5V)?
If yes: starter problem
If no: positive battery cable problem
From what I recall reading previously, remote start systems have the potential to cause some really screwy problems if everything isn't exactly right with them. Reply with your status, if the problem isn't something 'easy' like the above tests and you don't figure it out quickly, I'll move this to Stereo & Electronics where they have more experience with remote start installations.
