Default Frustrated!

Hi everybody, I'm new here and I want to tell you about my problems with my 1996 ws6. Maybe somebody has some answers. My oil pressure is good when cold(idle and driving), but when it warms up it goes to sh*t. It still makes about 18-25 while driving, but at idle it will always fall to 0. I have to rev it when stopped in fear that I really have no oil pressure. My car runs beautifully and there have never been any starnge sounds.
The car runs hot too. It takes forever to warm up and then when it does it always goes to the 235 mark before the fans kick in. It then runs anywhere from 215 to 230. I have a 160 thermostat, which I realize doesn't really reduce overall temperature. What is wrong with my stallion? Any help would be much appreciated.

Default

Pull the valve cover off and see how much oil is pumping when your car is idling.

Default oil pump or bye bye motor?

stock gauge: 0psi at hot idle, 20-25 while moving. 45 cold idle. Mechanical guage: 14psi hot idle, 30 highest at any revs. Have replaced sending unit and changel oil and filter. Runs beautifully and has never made any noises. Please somebody give me $.02.
