I never let my car get below 1/4 tank.

This is why even at the track I keep it at least 1/4 full (as well as for the dirt in the tank and possible fuel starvation issues at launch).

I have never really let it go below an 1/8. I just hate how innacurate the guage is. I will start my car, it will show like less than 1/8th and the light will be on, look back down and its 1/4 and no light on.

I'll start my car and it will be at 1/2 tanks I'll drive 5 mi and it will still be at half a tank. Turn off car and go do something for an hour or two. Come back crank car gauge is on 1/4...beat that

Fried it... Not guaranteed to happen every time, but shouldn't risk it, and sounds like he got 'caught' this time

I heard are guages suck and been told from many fbody owners that they have ran out of gas before the E. Anyways I always just fill up when i get down to 1/4 as well.
