oil pressure problems

Default oil pressure problems

They just rebuilt the block and new cam and all that good stuff My car idles at 825 and the oil pressure is right under the first line after the 0. Just wondering if this is good or should I check something????Thanks guys.

No....that's not good. You need to take it back to the shop that did the work. Actually, if you have almost no oil pressure, you shouldn't even be running it. But it could just be the sending unit. Call them and tell them. And that idle is bit high, too.

Man I hope that it is the sending unit if not I would raise hell untill they replace the complete engine. But if it had 0 oil pressure it wouldn't have run very long. Maybe 2-3 mins top. You could check the sending unit and make sure it's plugged in. Also check and make sure it has oil in it. If both of those are OK I would change the filter.
Also if your car is an auto it should idle around 500 or so when warm.
