what is "loading up" the engine

what is "loading up" the engine

wasnt sure where to ask this but but when someone says the motors loading up what does that mean? I know its somethin you dont want

Dumping gas that doesn't get burned. This should only happen to a carbureted motor.

so these camaros (f-body) shouldnt or couldnt load up?

The PCM can only compensate so much for a rich condition. If your car is running that badly, you'll know it because it will throw codes and run like ***. It should just run rich and not "load up."

Well that makes sense, I just had a cam swap and bore. A little backfiring now and then when i rev it up, a little gas smell after i shut it off, but no codes yet.
