i would check that the bolts on your torque arm are nice and tight...also make sure the front of the torque arm connection to transmission is fine. i broke mine a while ago and it clanked pretty bad

If it feels like floorpan then check the exhaust,
aged motor mounts or shift of the plumbing hang
can be making the exhaust bang on underside
sheet metal.

If it feels like driveline then the TA mount, trans
mount are good to check first-off.

I've got the same problem. I'm thinking it has something to do with the diff. not locking up. I have had my car in 3 different shops having the problem looked for but it is elusive as hell. Defantly not anything loose, nor the exaust and have used a lite to check for any drivetrain rubbing.Could this be a bad rearend? The way chevy has the toque arm I believe I am feeling the rearend poping under my drivers floorboard too? Are you suppose to rebuild these rearend clutch assemblys?

I have the same problem, but mine is happening from a stop and just getting on the gas. It doesn't to it all of the time, but it's nasty when it does. It started after my clutch change. Sometimes it sounds like it's coming from the middle of the car, other times it seems like it's coming from the rear. At first I wrote if off as break in clutch chatter, but it hasn't gone away though it happens rarely. I'm probably just going to replace my tranny mount and torque arm and see if that clears it up before I rip the damned tranny back out. And I think it might be one of the two (mount or arm), because after I got the tranny in with one stab at it, I started celebrating... wrenching and beer don't always work together...haha

does the shifter jump up when you get on it? That's the tranny mount, if so.
