cold start problem (NFB) I have a 94 chevy 1500 4x4 ( 350 tbi ). I thought the battery was almost dead so i replaced it but I am still having problems starting the truck in the cold. Recently twice this week and once the week prior, I go to start the truck in the morning and I get plenty of power but starter won't engage. No noise or anything... just normal power in the cab but motor won't do anything. You guys think that the starter is shot? or maybe somthing else? After several attempts with similar results after about 5 min it struggles to start then does and runs fine. I'm baffled.

On some of my SBCs I have had to reach under and
give the starter motor a good thump with the hammer,
if it's sat for a while. If this improves its attitude you
can figure it's starter motor time, unless you want to
just take apart, clean/lube the solenoid which may be
more trouble than it's worth. Before you go pulling it
though, just give the hot lead a little snugging and
check the battery to block cable for clean & tight as
well.
