Default Car brakes it self...kinda

I was coming home today, had the cruise set at ~70mph and out of nowhere my car slowed down for a brief second like i tapped the brakes but then was fine, i had my tranny rebuilt 35k ago (fluid and filter changed 5k ago) so my first thought is that its crapping out on me or the VSS is going bad, The VSS is also new (maybe 3k on it), so against my better judgement i punch it and it downshifts fine takes off and takes me to redline and shifts perfectly. I pulled in the carwash, washed it and headed home (4 miles maybe) and it was fine the whole way, the closest i've ever felt my car do something like this is when the VSS went weird but that fluxuated the speedo and wouldnt let me shift at the correct points so im kind of ruling that out, but i wanted some other opinions. I appreciate any input!

Default

check for a short in the harness that connects to the VSS or a loose connection at the sensor itself.
