Default Proud of myself.

I read somewhere it takes 2-8hrs roughly to change the plugs out on aa Fbody LS1 car, and i have never attempted it since i just got the car in sept. I have always been mechanically inclined and took a good attitude towards the situation, and finished the plugs and the PCV valve in about an hour or less. But then when I was finishing putting the LAST bolt on the passenger side air tube i dropped the bolt under the chassis somewhere...Ill never see it again, but i was inpressed in how fast i finished the job. Things always seem to go wrong, like everything sometimes is too good to be true..you ever get that feeling? And I was going to Mai's Kitchen downtown off elgin somewhere anyways my moms 98 Benz stationwagon started acting funny as if I were stuck in a pot hole, and everytime i would give it more gas it would be like KLUNK KLUNK KLUNK GRIND KLUNK!! I got out checked the oil and there was NO OIL in the car, I was like son of a bitch, that ******* mechanic my mom goes to always cuts ******* corners, I bet her engine threw a rod..****.....ehh....what are ya gonna do?

Takes me about 15 min on an average LS1, less than 5 min on my car HOT.
First time EVER was about 30 min.
Never really understood how people say it takes them so long. Are they trying to do it with out popping the hood?

All it takes are some Mechanix gloves. Done it plenty of times at the track and on the Dyno.

all 8 in 30 min or less is very easy to do.
just gotta have some anti seize on the plugs that are in there.

anyone use part of a hose to help thread the plugs? I hear that works pretty good too, might try it.

Sux, I'd love to see the 5 minute change HOT, thats movin, even in an open engine bay like yours.

I do remember seeing Texas Terminator swap plugs on the 04 PT in Arlington really quick, and thats in a truck with a procharger.

The day someone rolled up in a bronco II and said, "Hey, maybe you can help me. I've got a problem." I could smell that oh so familiar oil burning stench.

I said, "You've got an oil leak huh."
He said, "WTF, how did you know that?"

When things like that happen it makes me proud.
