i switched to silver stars... HUGE improvement. They were expensive back when I bought them, I think you can get regs and brights for 40 dollars total.

Silver stars wont work in our birds. You have to look into a sealed beam conversion. Eurolites is a place that will sell them for like 160 bucks for all 4 lenses and new bulbs.

He has an Lt1 bird their is only one housing on each sides vs the seprate housing you have for high low. I have heard that Hella makes realy good housings for us and thats the cheapest best way to go.

Sylvania makes a sealed beam Silverstar that is a direct replacement for stock. It is part number H4666ST, and is the same light my winter beater Daytona Turbo uses. I have Silverstars in both my 'Tona and my Z28, and I love them.

Are HIDs (high intensity discharge) available for the car?

The thread starter apparently has a 94, which would be the LT1 body style, which uses an H4666ST sealed beam headlight. Sylvania makes a Silverstar direct replacement for that car.

My Z28 uses completely different headlights, as it has a quad light set up. It uses a 4351 low beam and 4361 high beam, but there is no Silverstar for those. So, I converted my headlights to accept a 9006 low beam, and a 9005 high beam, both Silverstars. For the LS1 body style Camaros, the 9006/9005 combination are direct replacements for stock.

The LS1 'Birds, however, are out of luck as far as I know. You say Eurolites makes a kit for the LS1 birds; that's the first I have heard of that kit. Other than that, there is no other alternatives for aftermarket headlights other than the "fixed" headlight kit that eliminates the flip up headlights that I know of.
