Quick answer, no. -But- extremely clogged cats can cause all kinds of symptoms, especially at moderate to WOT.

When my cats went to hell in my '00 Silverado, the truck would get to like 4,000rpm and start bucking a sputtering, I was also seeing 7* of KR and sometimes go into limp mode. It never threw a code for some reason.

I'm assuming you're talking about a late model with a 4L60E tranny, stock tranny, not a vacuum modulated trans.

its a 4l60e, ive pretty much rules out trans trouble since it was rebuilt last month and has been running like a champion since. but it only lags when its cold.... when it warms up its great

That sounds more like a trans issue than a cat converter issue, in my experiance.

Clogged cats can cause a extremely rough idle and cause 'no power' when accelerating. (ie. accelerates like a ride-on lawnmower.)

I've never seen one cause a transmission problem.

I had a 4l60E go out and then shortly there after the cat had to be replaced.
The car would not accelerate at all and would not go over 3000 RPM's. Plus when you looked under you could see the exaust shaking before the cat and smoke coming out around it.
Yeah mine was trashed. When the guy took it out and it crashed to the floor, about 10000 pieces went everywhere. It took the guy's 7 year old apprentice 10 minutes to clean it all up. LoL.

I agree with the overall census. If your cats we're bad you would have major problems, the manifolds would also be glowing red. If you just had the tranny re-built you wouldn't think there would be problems, I would check out your 02 Sensors, I've heard they can act up when it's cold, but once they get warmed up there is no problem. Usually they throw a code though, otherwise go back to the transmission shop. I'm sure you got a warranty, unless you did the re-build yourself.
