NGK's are the best plugs around. I have them and MSD wires and I have had no problems. I did at first but I had a plug loose.

well i also belive NGK are the best plugs ive used them in everything from my car to my dirtbikes to my lawnmowers. but i do have a slight belief that some of our ls1's dont like them as good as they may be.

Default I have the same issue

This has been an issue with my car also. I Had Ngktr55's installed at a dealer and it ran great. But then i changed them over to Tr6's and starting having issues with my idle. To the point where my car had ocassinaly died from reverse to neutral. But When i floor it i have major power yet and it feels faster than it did top rpms' then the tr55's. Car was put away for winter before i could figger it out.

I put my tr55's back in and idle is good now... I tried the Ngk-tr6's at .055 .050 .045 and .060. and thats alot of time spent for nothing.

Have 100 shot n20 stock motor

UPDATE:: Just took out my tr55 for AC and the misfire is still there Car runs smoother at idle, i can tell that right off the bat.BUT I've notic that my new AC wires (6months old) dont click to the spark plug as good as the old ones (55,000miles) so i pop a few old ones on it, and now the miss fire is cut in half ,Missfires 1 time each time ,with the new AC WIRES it missfires 2/4 times each random CYL all under 900 rpm but no SES....

Also, the old AC wires Ohm out at 340 with 55,000 miles on them and the new ones out of the Bx. Ohm 720 I might be returning these wires , and getting some RED GMPP wires next....and just dont think of the missfire

What would you consider a rough idle as in it shakes your leg or your shifter shakes bad or what?

yah im stumped too I have the tr55 too and new msd coil and wires and i checked all vacuum lines but when cold it runs smooth but the warmer it starts to get it will idle rough and shake. Now where else is there to start. I know the o2 r fine cause they are new, so i dunno what else will cause this.

i have tr-55's with some autolite wires from autozone (didnt have time to wait for MSDs to come in) and i have the same problem. my car used to miss really bad (114k stock plugs), so when i changed them, i thought it ran great and that was just the way the engine was.

its nothing i cant take, although i would like to know what it is if anyone can find out.

okay i also noticed whenever the engine shakes at idle the lights flicker and I can see the volts gauge move. This might narrow it down now.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead! I was gonna start a new thread till i saw this, i'm having the exact same problems rough ide when it gets warm, starts with 1 or 2 missfires on cylinders 7-8 then multiple random missfires througout the cylinders, no ticking, performance seems fine, but seems to be going through fuel quite quickly, this was using an interceptor guage, have efi live but still learning.
I also have msd wires & ngk plugs, missfires were there with the stock plugs, only ses light i get is P0101 which is maf related,
Did any of you guys that had this problem figure it out?

Anyone have a reason for why this is happening? i don't know if it's running this way since headers, i broke 2 plugs during the install and swapped them all out for NGKs tr55s from speed inc. and didn't notice missfires till i got EFI, just the sightly rough idle everytime it missfired & vibration from my y-pipe, something to do with knock retard maybe?
It's runs great over 1500.
