VIbration at higher RPM's

VIbration at higher RPM's I have been experiencing a vibration at rpm’s above 3000in a A4 in all gears. It seems to vibrate more violently in 3rd gear. I don’t feel vibration in the steering wheel but you could hear and feel the whole car vibrate once the rpm’s get higher. 
If im cruzing in 3rd above 2500 rpm’s the car will start to vibrate and once I shift it into OD it goes away. Any ideas? Can this also be because of my driveshaft being unbalanced? Help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for the post but my problems is a bit different. i get the vibration at higher rpms not only at high speeds. in all the gears. at rpms over 3k the car starts to vibrate.
