I have a set of Thundervolts and a set of MSD's. 6 of one half dozen another. I don't think that there is really one set of wires out there that I would not recommend that is common on the LS1's. Stockers are fine too FWIW.

Tune up wise: change your oil, plugs, and recharge your K&N.

I've got the MSD 8.5s on my LT1, most people don't seem to recommend one over the other as long as you're getting something with good insulation and low resistance. The resistance is pretty outrageous on the stock wires because (I read) they have to comply with (FCC?) regulations on interference... I heard you used to be able to tune your radio to a particular AM station and pick up the signal from your wires..

I would say it comes down to what color plug wire you wanted...I have run taylors since they where blue and now run MSD since they are red. I've never had any problems with the stock wires or any wires.

thanks for the suggestions, so when you recharge the K&N filter, does that mean just buy some air filter cleaner and clean it??
thanks again

they sell the K&N recharger kit at pepboys, thats where i got mine and you get cleaner and filter oil. just make sure when you clean the filter you let it dry out after you wash it with the cleaner and water, and dont spray to much oil on the filter it wont be dark pink like it was when it was new either.

MSD 8.5's for me....I like the way they "snap" on the plug and coil, unlike the Magnacores I had for awhile.
