I noticed going from a fram oil filter to a k&n that the oil pressure shot up higher for sure. In the summer I can remember the pressure was well below 40 with the fram also.
Someone should cut up a bunch of different brands of filters and show them in this thread

Why when someone already more or less has. Just scroll down to the list.

Is there any real advantage or difference between a Mobile 1 filter or K&N?

http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilters/index.html

This is the one I got some of my info from.
Lots of good reading here as well. The problem like this guy states, is that it seems like most things in this day and age change over time. Most likely going to the cheapest supplier. Happy Reading.

That test is accurate. The new Xtended Guard filters are very well liked over on BITOG.

I would trust a Fram oil filter if it was mounted vertically on a motor like the ls1 is. Anything mounted horizontally are prone to the rubber valve seal failure
True, the newer Delco E core filters are junk.

thats a easy question, peper endcaps, small flow holes and when some of them have been taken apart the filter was actually came apart inside offering now protection what so ever, and this is on new never used ones.

Go WIX or go home

I put a fram oil filter on my camaro. had it on for 3 months and drove 2k miles. When I went to take it off, it crushed. I tried every method in removing it and just ended up shredding it. I ended up using a Dremel tool to remove it. I recommend K&N oil filters because of the nut welded to the bottom.

I use Wix and K&N. It's been "known" for a long time that Fram is for your neighbor's Toyota Camry.
