"seafoam"it cleans and lets the motor burn the carbon out of the cylinders and off the valves. it also clean injectors suposidly and cleans sludge from the oil system.

i see in the poll u have auto-rx i dont believe that is a top engine cleaner its a oil additive to clean sludge from the crankcase and the transmission or ps system.. it supose to work well ive seen pics from people who used it and it did work ver well. i have a bottle i just havent used it yet, i have however used seafoam and it works great for top engine cleaning and in my oil i gained about 15psi in my oldsmobile

Feed it through the brake booster vacuum line if you're doing an LS1. If its an LT1, you have to find another vacuum line, because the brake booster line on the LT1 doesn't feed all the cylinders.

With the car idling, just pop off the brake booster vacuum hose (it will hiss and the engine will stumble, not to worry) and feed the seafoam down the tube using a funnel or by sticking the tube directly into the can. I recommend the funnel, because its easier to modulate how much cleaner you are putting in as to avoid flooding out the engine and stalling it. You'll gwet lots of smoke, if the smoke is black or very dirty, keep using the seafoam until the smoke is white, or until you finish the can, whichever comes first. Then drive the car hard so all the loosened deposits come out

Use seafoam, and then change to Mobil 1 Synthetic oil if you haven't done so already. It helps a lot

changed the oil to mobile one today, but noise is still there... it honestly doenst seem like its coming from the valvetrain, its close to the driver side front area, but im thinking it might be a water pump pulley or something else, ugg!!! just want this problem fixed... im bringing the car to speed inc. tom. and have them take a quick look at it. hopefully they can diagnose this issue...

Probably not the smartest question, but does anyone have a pic of what vacuum line to use on a LT1? I'm not too familiar with it but pick stuff up quick if I see it..
I'm going to do it this weekend

i just ran seafoam thru my oil and in 110 miles my oil went from a nice golden colour to a crazy black colour. Must've been a ton of build-up over 65k miles.

Stilll in the process of running it through my fuel and I haven't had the ***** to unhook a vaccuum hose yet.
