Yes, ANOTHER oil poll!
I don't think I could do that, no matter what their oil analysis says! I would probably go about 14k TOPS with a 7k filter swap if I decide on Amsoil, and I have no idea on the GC. I always run K&N filters.P.S.~ Please don't lecture me on the "M1 is good enough for a Viper/Vette" crap. I'M NOT GOING TO RUN M1 ANYMORE!!!

If you think its breaking down too fast for your oil change intervals, pick up some Mobil 1 Extended Performance, good for 15,000 miles between oil changes
I've been using M1 5w-40 as I can't find GC in my area, but I've heard Castrol came out with a "European Formula" oil that is supposed to be as good as GC, and hopefully will have wider availability so I can find it.
edit: oh yeah, as far as OCI, tests show 10k with a good synth is very reasonable.

I've driven 3 times that with a few runs at the track with the GC and still read full on the dip stick as of 2 days ago...
On the dyno it was disgusting how the car drank oil thru the stock PCV system. When it was hammered from 2500rpm with Mobil 1 a large cloud of god knows came out the exhaust then settled down as it got to the mid rpm.
oil pressure went up (at least 10psi across the board),
noise went down,
minimal burn-off/oil loss (haven't had to add any after 4 - 300mile trips and typical city driving),
1 year service cycle,
acceptable cost,
and the **** looks just as clean today (6 months later) as it did when I changed the oil back in December.
