Unhappy PF-61 oil filter on a lowered car?

I've got Hotchkis springs but was considering getting the longer oil filter, PF-61. Is this not recommended because I'm lowered about an inch, or what's the deal? Would it be safe? Any opinions? Thanks,
-Marc

I run the longer K&N and I assume they are the same size. The nut on the K&N sits a little below the oil pan. It appears without that nut it would sit about flush with the pan. If the larger filter you are reffering to is flush with the pan you should be fine. I mean if your hitting your oil pan now the filter is the least of your problems

i use the larger, m1-206 filter and it sits flush w/ the bottom of my pan. like said above if its hitting that its time to get new springs.

Yeah, I've never had any problems with that before. Good point.

I was using the longer filter, but I changed it back over to the stock one after putting my springs on. With my luck it'd hit something and I'd be screwed, so it's just cheap insurance for me.
