Default T-Top key missing

Hey guys, somehow or another, the farking key that locks/unlocks on the T-Tops grew legs or something.
What do I have to do to get a new key for this? I know guys have to get new ones (T-Tops themselves) periodically due to them flying off at opportune times (driver forgot to latch them back in, etc) so there must be *something* people are doing to account for this.
Thanks!

Well, as far as I know, if you don't have the key to your t-tops, you don't have the key to your door either. The key for my t-tops is the same is the key to unlock the rest of the car and I can't imagine they changed that from your year to mine. I'm assuming you use your keyless remote often.

Take your VIN, registration, and photo ID into the dealer and they will be able to look it up and cut one for you.

Dont you have a door key? Theyre the same key. Unless you snagged T-Tops off of another car for whatever reason.

I think that may be the problem. I just went out one more time to be sure. The ignition key slips into the lock but will not unlock it. I *Know* that I'd used the round key (perhaps a replacement or cut key?) on the T-Tops shortly after I bought the '94. Dunno what to do now. I guess I can drill the locks out and replace them or have a locksmith figure it out?
Thanks for the quick feedback guys.

If you think that the lock is different on the t-top, take it to a locksmith. When I bought my TA, the drivers side top had been replaced and the key wouldnt lock it....but it would lock the passenger side top. The locksmith recoded the lock so my key now works for both tops. It was like $18 or something like that.

So you don't have the keyes to your door locks? Because the ignition key is not the one for the t-tops.

Right. Only the key to the ignition.
Sounds like a trip to the locksmith is in my future.

You don't need to drill anything out. The locks come out with basic hand tools.

My door key does nothing in my driver's side T-Top. It will turn a little on the passenger's side one, but doesn't lock. At least that's how it was when I first bought the car. I haven't bothered with it since.
