Default white smoke underhood

I havent been able to find it yet because as soon as I see it coming out, i run and pop the hood and it's done. I'm thinking it could be, hopefully, an exhaust leak in the air tubes or something like that or, hopefully not, bad rings. I havent noticed any loss in performance, fluid, or drivability but if it were rings what could i do to prolong the life of the engine?

Thanks,
Brandon

stupid guess... could be steam from moisture. When does it happen? maybe after you hit a puddle or when its raining?

If it smells like burning oil, the above is in fact a STUPID GUESS.
You're sure you're not loosing any tranny fluid or coolant, or oil?

well it's white and does smell like coolant, but im not low on coolant, oil, trannt fluid. It does happen when it heats up but is very intermittent. Im going to seafoam my car, change all the fluids, and get the damn thing tuned and see what comes of it. Just hoping it was a common problem. But not the common problem my old caddy had, BLOWN HEAD GASKETS!

Could it be coolant going into the overflow tank? The cap to the overflow tank doesn't really seal very well, so could some steam be making its way out....

you know i never thought of that, and my cap is a little stripped, (can keep turning), and it comes from teh passenger side, and It's happen when it warms up and doesnt happen again until it warms up again. I bet if changed out the fluid and flushed the system it would disappear. I havent noticed it in a few days as it has gotten a lil cooler and less humid. Great suggestion to look into.
