Cool Dipstick tube

So i installed my longtubes a week ago, anyways my buddy helping me bent my dipstick tubes. How exactly would I go about removing the old one? Is there so sort of retaining bolt,or does it thread in?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

There is one bolt that retains it, then just pull it out.

As stated above, one bolt. Just crawl under the car and find the bottom of the tube where it enters the block, follow it up about half way and you can feel the bolt, I think it's 10mm, I just had to remove mine a while back to pull out the broken dipstick that was jammed inside it. The bolt connects to an odd looking piece of metal, and at first glance you wouldn't think that it supported the whole tube, but it does. Also, if you can do it without your face under the motor, great. A lot of oil/debris tends to fall in your eyes, so wear goggles.

Not so easy for some people. See this thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/476843-oil-dipstick-tube.html
