Default what do u think is wrong here on my dyno!

hey look at these pics then tell me what u think could cause teh rpm drop in the higher rpm's i have a 97 z28 a4 with 73k on it with stock plugs wires opti and coil!

Default look at teh higher rpm's

could this be an opti i hope it is b/c thats what i think it is!

are there any more ppl that could give me more opions b/c ui think it is the opti but i just don't wanna buy a 400 dollar part and that not be it! when u get a new opti can u get the caps on the end b/c this one guy from custom ssi said it could just be ur opti caps? but do those come with teh opti! also i want new plugs, wires when i go in there and fix it! huum are acdelco plugs good and taylor spark plug wire godo too!?

i just want to make sure that it is the opti which think it is but i am getting new plugs, wires, coil, and opti all fixed cuz my car needs it, it only has 73320 on it as of now!

opti's are only 230.00 or around that.you can go thru dan or sal.maybe somebody can help you out with a email address,because its been a while since i messed with lt1's.they work at dealerships and offer really good prices.

I would get it scanned/logged first and then go from there instead of guessing what parts to replace.

ok hey thanks but the guys at the dyno said that it would for sure my opti but they didn't take anything aprat the reasonf or him saying that is b/c i ahve a messed up lower intake gasket that leaks oil on to my opti! so it is like shorting out!

Looks like a miss for sure....do a tune-up because you need one anyway. Change the plugs, wires and see if that corrects it. If not then it could be the opti like everyone is saying.

hey think i am planning to get my lower intake gasket fixed here soon along with plugs,wires, opti and some other stuff

get a tune up, change oil to royal purple, and clean your air filter. and a dyno tune would be nice too.

I have been very pleased with my MSD 8.5 wires and NGK Iridium plugs. Neither are cheap, but they are excellent quality, IMO.

the opti either WORKS or DOESNT WORK. there is no "it works sometimes" or "it dies at high RPM." it does not sound like an opti problem. they're not as common as a culprit as most people think they are. it could be fouled plugs or a wire causing the problem, but i wouldn't put money on the opti...
