Default No Interiro Lights, and HVAC Controls

None of my Interior Lights work.. ( Not even the ones
in the mirror, or the ones in the back of the hatch

98 Z

MY AC HVAC Controls Do not work either.. No Power... ( Won't blow
any air out)

What could be the problem? Fuse
Checked them.. They seem okay..

What other fuses?

Be sure to also check that there is power at the fuses that control the interior lighting. Use a test light and just check the little metal tabs that protrude from the end of each fuse. With the key on, connect the test light to ground and touch the tip of the light to each metal fuse tip, with the fuse still installed. The test light should light when touching BOTH of the terminals. If it only lights on one, it means the fuse is blown (sometimes a fuse can fail in a way that's hard to see). If there's no power to the fuse, it could mean that a fusible link is blown.

I just diagnosed my failed courtesy lights using the factory service manual and it turned out to be the Body Control Module (BCM). But in my case, the glove-box and rearview mirror lights were working through their switches.

Have you installed any new stuff lately that could have caused a problem?

If you can't think of any potential problem areas, and you've found power at the fuses, the next step would be to see if there are any trouble codes stored in your BCM. It was really simple to do on my '99 (maybe it's the same for '98). I just turned the key to ON, back to OFF, then removed the Radio fuse. After that, I turned the key to ACC and back to OFF very quickly (the book said within one second). There were three audible tones, then the trouble codes flashed on one of the Warning lights (I can't remember which one). From there, you should follow the factory troubleshooting procedures, since it gets a little tricky. to diagnose this stuff when there's a BCM involved.

Recheck all fuses... Their good.

Do you all know if this problem might be associated with
the ac controls not turning on the ac.
