Default Mabye you guys can help me with this (driveshaft)

I purchased an ls1 aluminum driveshaft for my car. Stock it ahd the 1 piece steel. car= 2002 camaro v6

So we put the aluminum on... I went to launch it "Fresh new rear end with 3.42s and zexel LSD", pushed the brake it, brought it up to 3k or so as usual.. punched it and it rattled like crazy, the interior mirror rattled out...

Now I thought as first it may have been the lsd since we had just finished the rear end, but I had the steel driveshaft on for a while with the lsd, and it launched fine...

The guy I bought it from said it was balanced when he sent it, possibly could have became unbalanced during shipping?

Would and unbalanced driveshaft cause the car to shake that bad? Think its bent? What do I do?

thanks.

/sorry for the longass rant

thats the primary action that needs to be taken when you get a new drive shaft esp. alumn.......it will cause problems like what youve stated....i personally dont like the alumn. drive shafts...they tend to warp, and its not that big of a weight loss, compared to the strength your giving up....thats why you see them all over ebay.....just get it balanced

I was just wanting to get some feedback from people whp had the same problems TO make sure it was a the driveshaft.

I never knew an unbalanced driveshaft would shake the car that bad
