Whining sound

Whining sound Well some of you may have this same problem, the trans whine is great and I love that, but I have this horrible high-pitched whine out of my rear-end and can't really tell what it is, it's pretty much unbearable, it's louder than my stereo can go and still overpowers my exhaust 
... I suspect it may be the pinion? What do you guys think? How could I fix this??

Just make sure it is indeed gear whine first, sometimes in rare instances a carrier bearing is the cause, check the oil level, or even pull off the inspection cover and check for metal shavings (not the typical "dust") on the magnet on the dif cover. Check for irregular wear on the ring gear. If gears are set up wrong and they form a pattern in them, simply re shiming them wont eliminate the whine, you need new gears at that point sucks huh?
As for setting it up, i wouldnt, and you will need a lot of special tools
