The 2006 is the truck filter, it's just longer (extra capacity) than the 1007.

I use napa gold/wix sometimes, mostly try to find mobile one it is available which it usually is. The extended performance are good a for a long *** time b/c I run the 10k mile oil while I am at school since I only change the oil once every semester (all I have time for).

German Castrol 0w30 and a either a K&N or PureOne filter. I've got a cap style filter wrench, so getting the old filter off isn't a problem. I haven't really noticed any difference between the two. I've cut one of each of the filters apart at about the same mileage and they both seemed to trap about the same amount of stuff.

Purolator. Don't use the K&N, because it keeps oil out of the crankcase, and there's this thing called dry starts, and it's a mother!

I used a K&N because of the little nut on top to get it off.
