My heater doesnt work! Why?
My heater doesnt work! Why? Just as the title says, what exactly will I need to check before I start buying parts without knowing the exact cause of why my heater doesn't work. Not to mention my A/C didnt work during the summer either. They told me that it could be the compressor since it doesn't "click" when you have your a/c blowing at its maximum and just turning the ignition key to the "on" position. Any help guys?Well I noticed that I'm only getting air through the bottom area, (where it warms up your feet) and I'm only getting a small amount of air through there. It wont even get air blowing through the other vents.

well if that was the case wouldn't he atleast get cold air throughout all the vents? i don't know how to explain it but the doors are probably shut.
Your vent problem could be as easy as finding a vacuum leak on the control lines for the HVAC, or you could have a damper motor problem under your dash.
An easy way to verify if your heater core is pulled is by turning on your heater, letting the car reach operating temp and then feel the two hoses going into your core at the firewall. They both should be hot, to hot to hold with bare hands, and of course one will be a little cooler.

my brother has to flush out his heater core every year, i helped him do it last week. He gets a little air through the bottom and thats it, not through the dash vents. After the flush it comes out all.
