i never ever change it below 4500, and then thats only if ive been racing a lot. otherwise i usually go 6k. oils have gotten alot better, and way too ****** expensive to change it any more often. i might even switch to Amsoil 15k formula. would be nice to change oil once a year

I change oil once a year. Usually 10-15K miles per year. I do the changes every spring in the car and truck when the weather gets nice.

IN our SBC powered dirt oval racecar we run 8 quarts of full synthetic 20w-50 Valvoline VR1 racing oil. We change it every 300 laps (about every 3 weeks), and the filter every 100 laps. Oil changes on my Firebird seem like nothing after doing the racecar oil for the last 3 years

sure havent. the oil actully wasent even totally black when it came out. and this past change i had 8k on it. it looked like it could stand to go to 10k but ill never run it that long. i try to change it every 6500 miles. which is about every 6 months for me. i paid 63.xx for 6 quarts of GC 0W30 and a K&N HP1007 oil filter. thats way too expensive to do it every 3k miles.

Hey man, I change mine with the GC 0W-30 around every 4K miles. You should have no repercussions. What are you running in there now?

If my car didn't leak oil, I would change it every 7k miles with synthetic. Right now I changed it around 4K miles.

I have owned my Formula since new. I run Mobile 1 5w30 with a AC Delco filter and change mine at 5000 miles everytime. We do the same thing on our 2006 Lincoln LS as well and did the same thing on our 2002 Grand Prix when we had it.

Newer oils preform alot better than the ones from 10 years ago. There is no need to change oil under 5000 miles unless you just like spending the money.
