Default One more thing.

It works with a 1/2 drive ratchet. no air tools required.

Use a 12pt 13/16 or 19mm. 6pt will not work well. Craftsman or the like. put a 6" extension on so you have something to hit and beat it on there. Once it's on good, beat it down some more to be sure. Then just put a rachet on and while turning the rachet with one hand push the back of the rachet into the car so it does not slip off. You may have to grab another extension if you mangle up the on that you were beating on.

FYI, I just did this in a scrapyard last weekend to get a rear out of a 2000 firebird with the factory locks/wheels. Worked great, along with all the other times I have had to do this.

Okay. I don't think any of the sizes that people have posted worked for me. The 19mm sure as hell didn't (way too small). Whoever could have gotten a 19mm on over my lock nut would have to have really been able to swing a hammer. The 1/2" was a hair too big to get a big enough bite. Forget what it took now. I'll try to remember to edit this post when I go home and look.

Hammered right on with a small hammer and turned just fine. No damage to the cheap *** Wal-Mart rachet that I hit, or to the socket. Knocked it right out with the hammer. I can understand how someone hitting on a 19mm would tear **** up big time. That would take a lot of force.

Thanks for all the replies!!! I appreciate the support.

And, for those who will actually use the seach when they have this problem (fat chance, I know ) in the future, I'll try to remember to edit this post with the size I used. I'm sure will all the good advice in this thread, anyone should be able to get theirs off.
