Default Oil in throttle body and car smoking

For the last couple of days my car has been smoking. It does it idleing and cruising but is minimal, when you kick down on it it seems to do it the most and there are times where it doesnt do it at all. I took a look at the inside of my throttle body tonight and noticed the there was a fair amount of oil in the bottom of the throttle body. What could be the problem

PCV system maybe? Is the car consuming an noticable amount of oil?

Oil could/can get pulled through the pcv system on these cars. Search for "catch can" you'll get all the info on that problem.

As far as the smoking goes, how much oil is your car using/burning? Perhaps your rings are shot and you have excessive blow-by. Pull your dipstick out and see if smokes out the tube. A leak down test or a compression test etc.. will let you know what kind of shape your bottom end is in. Hopefully it is something minor

Time to do a catch can. While you're at it, do a SEAFOAM to clean your valves, injectors, chambers, intake, etc...

+ 1 on the catch can.

also consider a nicotine patch for the car's smoking habits.
