Sounds like it's not being reset - which method did you use? If the key on trip/oil reset & hold didn't work try the key on, depress the gas pedal 3 times method.

Anyone use Amsoil? I've only hear great things about them...and I'm thinking about making the switch. What do some of you think?

Mobil 1 5W30 is not the greatest oil for the LS1; it is too thin for a 30wt, and the LS1 really prefers a thicker oil.

Run a search on 'german castrol' or Amsoil European forumla, or even Redline 5w30 (thicker 30wt than the M1 5w30)

If you live near an Autozone, chances are they carry Castrol Syntec 0W-30. Awesome oil, and best for this car.

Push in the trip., meter until the light flases, or somthing like that. I'd change my oil and then the light would come on...
