Default High-pitched horn??

Just starting today i believe, my horn has started emitting a much more high-pitched sound than it did before. It does it both when I honk the horn on the steering wheel and lock my car (the 2 short honks). Do we have 2 horns that activate at the same time? and if we do, would 1 horn dying cause a higher pitched honk? Damn my car and its random *** breaks.

Sounds like you lost your 'low' horn. My 2 previous f-bodies came to me this way

It's not hard. Just plug and play. You can find replacement horns at auto part stores. They are made by Fiamm. I think there are two versions. They are called hiway blaster or freeway blaster or something like that. One will be louder than the other, I believe. They look very similar but the connectors face different ways which will render your wires too short if bought a wrong one. Just take your the old horn with you when you buy it.

Here's more information

Just fixed it, the low-frequency one had water in it. Unbolt, tilt upside down, rebolt aimed slightly down now. 10mins. Works good as new yay!

I think this is an age-old problem with GM horns.... My '02 TA does this, as well as my '71 Buick Skylark. I guess an upgrade in the horn design in 31 years is too much to ask!
