need help with spark plugs

The gap will depend on which plugs you plan to run. Some require a different gap than others, even for a stock motor. Something like an NGK TR55 should be gapped at .050 to .060 for a stock LS1, but an AC Delco Iridium should have an .040 gap.

so if get ac delcos i should be gapped to .040 and what type of NGK TR55s shouild i get because they got some with different letters behind them. and what gap should i get them gapped at?

Every spark plug you buy needs to be re-gapped. Some of the TR55's I've bought (even though they're suppose to be @.060) were way over that. It doesn't matter if they are copper, platinum, etc. etc....check the gaps before hand, then gap them to what ever you want them at.

Sorry to pop thi back up im sure you have already made your choice, but gap on an ls1 im super sure about but for a bolt on car that you are going to be pushing alittle harder i would run .040-.050 . And for the reason i actually posted You want strait up tr55's no gold ot platnum or iridium. You want strait copper. Yes they wear out alittle fast but they hold a ton less residual heat. And they cost 1/3rd the price.
