Yes it is.
Thanks for the chuckle. I should just leave this alone. But in answer to the question, blue smoke at start up usually means that oil has seeped past your piston rings. A condition you should not have with only 34k miles.

This is very possible but IMO the oil is coming down from the valve seals not up from the rings. But either way its not good.

Actually oil at start up is more likely valve seals or some other leak from the heads.

What has been done to the car - I assume it is not stock?

Chuy, hi, Luke Skywalker.

It might just be your motor burning off the little bit of oil that's settled in your intake overnight. Really depends on how much oil it is.

Blue smoke? I thought that was the color tint they put in fuel.

Back on subject.......more then likely just bad valve seals or try changing your PCV valve and see if that helps.PCV valve me be bad and not ventalating pressure like it should.

I remember reading a few years ago about fuel additives that you can buy to tint the exhaust and even change its scent...... I just picture some dumb teens sitting in a garage inhaling their car's exhaust and getting killed by it.

Sorry for the

I would start off by checking the pcv valve first, its the cheapest solution anyway.

Does it do it on every start up? Bought mine new back in 2002 and every now and again she throws some blue smoke on start up, its not very often. I currently have 26,000 miles. If it does it all of the time its probably not a bad idea to look into to it a little deeper.
