Default Vaccum leak experts.....................

There's a little hose near the brake booster, about the diameter of a pencil, can't figure out where it goes. Its making my engine surge like crazy on cold start-up. After its warm its ok. If it stalls during cold start up you can hear a sharp quick sucking sound from that area as the engine dies.

Anyone know where this little son-of-a-bish goes?

The guy who rebuilt my tranny saw it and told me about it, it was up on a lift when he saw it. He put a screw in it because he couldn't find where it should plug on to. I guess the screw fell out and now its running like this.

Where's the hook up point for the A/C that you're talking about?

So its on the block intself?

Or is it on the firewall?

Man, I can't see or find ****. Can you feel it or see it from looking into the engine bay from the top of the engine? I don't have a lift to get under the car.

Only thing I see back there is a large black hose, about 1" in diameter, connected to the bottom of a "T". Its connected to the bottom, and the two top open ends of the "T" have nothing connected to them. That thing has been there for years like that. Its leaning against the firewall back behind the brake booster.

The hose my tranny guy found, he said its about 1/4" in diameter.

He's gonna come by later tonight to find it. But I still see nowhere to connect anything to except for these open T ends?

OK. The main hose connected to the front of the brake booster is the hose that he plugged up. It runs from the brake booster and goes behind the intake near the firewall. He found it with a "T" connector spliced in it and just went ahead and plugged the open hole of the "T".

Where does the brake booster hose go?

Can the brake booster hose get clogged or gummed up with anything? I see people Sea Foaming it.
