Default Power Steering Flush

Just curious, has anybody performed a fluid flush on their power steering system?

did you fix your PS cooler problem? I assume you did by your question about flushing. What did you end up doing?

but you could get a turkey baster and suck some out, fill it, run it, and do it all over, and over and over.

or take off the Low Psi line that goes back in to the pump, aim it in to a bucket, have a friend start the car and turn the wheel lock to lock, while you pour like a mad man. lol, im sure it would be very messey but it would work.

or go and pay to have it done

Yeah, got it fixed. Everything ended up working out good. I also flushed the cooling system, kicking out Dex and switched over to green. The overflow tank was nasty, given a little bit of time and Dex turns into some crazy ****.

I did it the turkey baster way over a week and went through one of the large bottles of power steering fluid. Wasn't having any problems just decided to to it for the heck of it. I had a very slight squeal during parking lot maneuvers at extreme lock to lock turns. After basting and replenishing four times, no squeal whatsoever.

Now I know there is still some old fluid in there but doing the turkey baster way did help.

The question is did you return the turkey baster to the kitchen drawer or toss it out?

That's why everything tasted like valvoline. Guess I'll have to wipe it off better next time.
