Finally no more slow passenger side window
I ordered this wiring kit from a website that was mentioned on here by another member which is supposed to fix the slow passenger side window problem a lot of these cars have. Since it was only 30 bucks, I figured...eeh..why not?
So it finally arrived (was on backorder, popular product it seems) and the seller emailed us detailed instructions for the installation.
All in all it took my buddy about 3 hours to install it, but it was worth it, now it works like a charm. Seems like GM did some crappy engineering on these cars when it comes down to wiring, and as a result, the passenger window motor doesn't get enough juice. It was a pretty involved installation. The door panel had to come out, so did the passenger footwell kick and side panel. We had to add some relays and a bunch of wires to the stock wiring, had to do some wire cutting and splicing, the cars computer had to be removed to be able to pass the new wires through the firewall into the engine compartment....all sorts of fun.
But it does work!

Well....considering the amount of stuff you have to remove, I wouldn't call this a super easy install. As listed above, it basically involves splicing wires, packaging the new stuff into the door panel, and running it to the battery terminal on the driver side. You can do a quick job, or you can take your time and make it neat. We went the neat route.

I'll get a video up by friday or saturday.
And no, you don't just run a wire, there are relays involved. And you have to cut and splice some of the new wires into the factory harness. So there is a little more to it than just laying an extra wire to it.
I'll post a video of it with engine running and without engine running

Think the replacement motor from autozone will suffer the same fate without the autotrix?
Also...
MannyZ28... off topic...
you put in a 224 and got only those numbers??? I was gonna go that route too, but for a 8ft/lb gain and 26hp over what I currently have with my setup... I dunno anymore?
I'll PM you this too.
