Default Hatch Leak

I have been getting water in the bottom of the trunk area during random rain storms. Since I had replaced the spoiler a while back, I pulled it off and used some RTV around all the holes to make sure it sealed. Its still leaking. I am almost positive the water is coming out of the hatch itself where the drivers side lift strut bolts on. How could water be getting in there?

I checked it out again from the inside this time, its leaking out the the hatch itself a few inches forward of where the strut mounts...its coming out the fiberglass sandwich where the layers separate....

One easy thing you can check: are you parking on an incline with the car facing downhill? This is known to cause leaks from the hatch.

I had the same problem and the dealer ended up replacing my hatch after they tried to reseal it. The problem was that the hatch itself has splitting appart. They told me it was like a clamshell and it just started splitting and sealing didnt help. I used to get lots of water and it was leaking from the same spot as you described.... They didnt charge me either.
