Not hard at all, just take your time. I used shoebox's guide too. You might even find the motor was replaced before (if you're not the original owner) and the rivets already drilled - that was the case when I helped a buddy do his a few weeks ago on his 2K.

It was a bitch the first time around, but after that it's easy. Drilling the rivets out the first time was the only holdup.

I think it took a couple of hours for me for mine. It was drilling the rivets out. I didn't want to mess up ad make the hole to big.

Default Regulators

If you haven't yet bought the new motors you may look into just getting the regulators. Mine went out on the driver side and was super slow on the passenger. I checked a few things out and ended up spending less dough just getting the regulators!

Yeah drilling the rivets, if anything is the hardest part.

My driver side took about 45min and it was my first time. My drill holes are a lil odd shaped but other than that no probs. I just pre-emptively bought the pass side motor just in case. Gettin a lil slow.

even though you spent less money was it more of a pain to replace the regulator and will it last as long as the new motor would?
