suspension noise?

My front driver side strut is making a horrible noise. Only whenever i go over a bump or uneven road. It sounds like when ever you go to sit a old rocking chair and all the wood creaks....best i can do...im going to take off the wheel tomorrow and check things over...what do i need to check for, and can i do it?

check for anything broken i would say. make sure your shock isnt leaking anything make sure all bushings are there etc

i checked everything today and found nothing could this be the shock or maybe a rock that caught in the shock????????

i have the same problem but mines in the passenger rear. But my mechanic said that its the pivot, thats not pivoting like its suppose to but its not gonna hurt your car its just freaking annoying.

Almost every fbody ive been in around 100k miles has a squeaky suspension.. my rear squeaks like a sumbich over speedbumps

well mine only has 40,000...it also just went away today.......so i dont know...im still taking it to get checked out.

Grease your swaybar bushings. I do it every year now. Otherwise they bind and creak.

Im pretty sure that's where mine is squeaking from aswell, do you take the sway bar off or no?

had the same problem, turned out i was missing a bolt that holds the swaybar, and while i was under there my swaybar bushings were loose, get under the car, make sure everything is tight. When I was under there if i pushed up on the swaybar it would make the noise, since i put a bolt in, never done it again
