Default Rubber at the ends of the t-top bar

I searched for this but the search feature is acting a bit finicky so I'll have to make a new thread:

The little rubber pieces at the front and back of the t-top bar which runs along the "roof" area of the car are popping out of place. The one in the back looks like it may even have ripped. Is there any way I can get these back in place? They don't seem to want to be forced back into place and having them out of place like they are totally ruins the lines of the car.

Mine were not that bad, and it was only the rear one that was coming out. I simply played around with it for a while, got it to stay in place, and left the t-top in for a while. It hasn't come out since.

Haha it's a Pontiac, what do you want from me? To be honest, I have no idea what the hell is going on with that thing. When I bought the car 6 months ago it was two TINY little L-shaped cracks. It just gets bigger... and bigger, and bigger. While we're on the topic, does anybody have some suggestions for THAT little problem?

So I pulled those rubber pieces right out tonight and I must say, it looks MUCH better.

Now I'm worried, though. They must have been there for SOME reason, right? Something to do with keeping the rain out of... I dont even know haha. Could anything bad really happen by not having these here?

Good luck with it. Sorry I couldn't be of any help, but this is the first time I've heard of this problem.

Mine was all f'd up when I bought it. I removed it, and bent it back to the shape it was supposed to be. I remember it being a big a pain, but I got it to sit exactly where it was supposed to and i used some gorilla glue on it. Then I use these small vices my dad had so it was stick to that center t-top bar.

I have this problem. After you removed the pieces, does the open edges look out of place?

I remember it being hard to make it look right again, but I managed to somehow. I got it fixed this fall, I haven't seen it in months since it's in storage. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. In about a week I'll have a camera and I could take pictures if u really want to know and see it.

I was sure I was the only one with this problem at the time.

I am also dealing with this problem at the moment but it is just the rubber on the back part of the T-Tops. The bottom of this piece where it connects up to the underside of the roof is also not attached and the back of the piece is not aligned. I will post pics if I can later on, but my car is parked a country mile away from my apt and it is cold and about to snow.

Dealership I went to in July said these items were discontinued.

Anyone else been to find them?
