What can make a car accelerate on its own?

Ok, I got my car back from the dealer, they replaced the IAC, and I think it is fixed this time. I didn't even realize that my throttle was hanging open after shifts.
It's like a completely different car now. The rattling under hard acceleration is gone, no more SES light, and it just feels a lot more resonsive. And my interior lights don't dim anymore when I come to a stop.
I'm very happy, just wish it didn't take them 2+ years to figure out what was wrong...
