Rear end fluid....how often should it be changed?

torsen gear type....I like torsen better because is lasted longer and the torque put down to both wheels is not reduced with age and wear.

I do mine every 12-15,000, oil is cheaper than those gears!

Those "powderized metal looking specs" ARE specs of metal. I guess I'll have to add this to my maintenance list like the tranny fluid. I thought it lasted forever. John.

I agree, except with the part about not using LSD additive with the zexel, I tried that and had horrible results. Made lots of noise only on turns, it was bad. Drained out the fluid and put in some royal purple (already has the additive in it) noise went away 100%. From now on, I will add the LSD additive or use a lube that contains it already.
