part of heater hose coming in direct contact with header...help
so check it out..i just had my heater hose assembly replaced..i drove the car home and smelled something like burning or melting or something along those lines. i popped the hood and noticed that part of the heater hose that goes to the heater core was touching the header..what can i do to protect the hose from coming in direct contact with the header..(some kind of shield, or "sleeve" or what) id like for this assembly to last me as long as possible..thanks guys

Change to stainless braided lines. It's the only way.
Auto part stores sell heat shield in various sizes. I would check with the manufacturer of the headers and ask them why their design isn't working... They probably ran into the same problem and have a solution.
