Transmission Fluid Change?

Hey guys i have an 01 SS camaro with about 52,xxx miles and im ready to change the tranny fluid. I dont really want to pay a jacked up price at a GM dealer so I think I'm gonna do it myself, with a little help. I changed it on a 2002 GT stang and it wasnt that hard, so i was just wondering how it compares on an 01 camaro? I looked around for explicit directions but only found them for an LT1 and I wasnt sure if it would be the same.....thanks in advance

its the same as an lt1.

i was just planning on replacing the gear lube. im pretty new at most of the mantience stuff on the ls1s so is that something i should look into doing? thanks again

Assuming you're doing an M6 -
There's an easier way than trying to squeeze the fluid in from a bottle. Get a long piece of tubing, stick one end in the fill hole (tape it in place), and stick a funnel in the other end. Then you can just stand by the car with the funnel end higher than the fill hole and pour the fluid (slowly) in the funnel - since it seeks it own level it will keep flowing thru the tube.
