Msd Plug Wires.....help!

Default Msd Plug Wires.....help!

this is my first time ever changing spark plugs on the camaro. but when i try to put the new msd wires on they dont want to "pop" on. Does anyone know of a trick or an easy way to get them on? thanks!

I actually turned mine side to side and then they "popped on". If they don't wanna pop make sure they are put on there tight just in case.

If you haven't already try taking off the coil packs to get more leverage. Then when you get the wires over the plugs you can put the coil packs back on and hook up the other end of the plug.

This is how I did mine but I was checking the nuts on my header studs so I already had the coil packs off.

Try lubing them with a little silicone grease. It will help them slip in a bit easier.

so i started on the passenger side today, but too late and ran out of day light. that is gonna be a pain in the ***. i cant even get my arm in there! and yes i disconnected the AIR/EGR line.

Some of the boots on my MSDs were not on completely. Check to see if the wire connector is at the top of the boot. If not pull the boot down until the connector is about 1/4 inch from the top.

i jus put mine in yesterday, i put a **** load of dialectric grease on both sides of the wire and they slipped and clipped right in dude and yes it helps to move them around side to side

I had fun getting myn on I remember I had my whole body in the engine bay with my arm bent in 20 different positions.. But I got it... you'll get it eventually.. If your having a hard time take a 5minute break.

well i was able to do my driver side. but i have to give credit to my cousins for doing my passenger side... i may have done 10% and they did the rest! but we finally got it done tonight have several arm scrapes and they came out great.

so thanks chris and daniel!!!

Slip the edge of a paper clip that is straightened out under the boot as you are installing it. This will allow the trapped air to escape and they will go right on.
