Ok guys i just got through installing a transmission into this car. Now i was going to go and test it out and make sure everything is working properly. Well when i started hooking up the battery as soon as i touched the battery with the positive side the starter engaged? Not for sure what happened but maybe it has something to do with the dead battery?

Anyone ever had this problem? If so what can i do to fix it, im afraid the car is going to come out of gear or something when im in front of it ..

Im going to say one or more of your wires that you put on your starter you put on the wrong stud on the solenoid...did you take that apart?

Ya i figured it out. One of the wires to the starter was touching the other and causing it to ground out and turn. But were all good.
