My K&N filter doesn't fit under my airlid.
I can't seem to get my air lid to seal against the filter. I can literally reach in through the opening and wiggle the filter around. It bugs the hell out of me. Anyone else have this problem?
It's a TSP lid and a stock lower.

Speaking of this, i recently bought 1 for my car. I was wondering, do you have to like "break it in", to get the filter working properly??? It seem's like im not getting the full amount of power i was getting when i was using a FRAM Air Filter.

I'm surprised: I bought my K&N filter in 2002 and with my LS1Motorsport lid it fits like a glove, I'm sure it fit with the stock lid too, I ran the KN filter with the stock lid for a month or so, then got the new lid..... the aftermarket lid came with foam strips, yours didn't ?
This filter is one of the best upgrades for these cars if you're in FL: every 2000 miles I have to clean it because of grass clippings, dust, sand, bugs.... since 2002 I cleaned it about 40 times - cheaper than 40 paper filters

The first couple of times were difficult for me until the foam seal compressed. Its hard to get the thing shut even with a stock filter.
If you unscrew the hose clamp and disconnect the intake hose from the cover, you may find it easier to get the box put together and shut. Then go back and reconnect the hose.
