Default Need help asap!! Power wire to starter touched headers, fried wire. car wont start

on my 99 TA the wiring harness touched the header and melted through the protective shield and popped the wires. Now the car wont start, i need to get under there and reconnect the wire, but need to know what size wire to get and possible a wiring diagram to go off of.

Help please?

all of the wires should be color coated, gauge shouldnt matter, just try to get something along the same size, put a heat shrinking sleave on it when your done so no water gets in it.

+1 to the heat shrink. Anything open to the elements can go bad real quick. I know the hot side of the wire runs directly from the battery. This is a basic diagram but it should help.

by the way you should probably get the correct gauge wire so they dont fry the wires again

+1 on getting the correct size.

It just runs from the battery to the starter so its a simple fix.

Yeah it ended up leaving more than enough wire to clean up, get a connector and hook her back up. Started right away.
