car acts like its missing when cold?
car acts like its missing when cold? like the title says my car is acting like it's missing until it gets up to temp. but if i open it up over half throtle it runs fine. my ses light is on and blinks when the car is acting up. just wondering if any of you have had this issue before, also would i be able to plug into something like efi live and diagnose this?

Flashing SES is a misfire, could be a lot of things. Yeah you can diagnose it with a scanner, or just get any code(s) read for free at places like auto zone to help try and nail it down.

could be a lean condition... i know that while cranking my car with the cam untuned, there was not enough fuel at idle and it was popping and missing(sounding like it was) all over the place. i bumped the fuel, and all was right. that is, if its not truly misfiring.
Sounds like a loose/bad plug wire or plug to me. You probably need to get it scanned to find out which cylinder/s or just swap them all out. If you have an old wire that you know is good you could just take turns replacing each one.
Of course the easiest way is just get it scanned at Autozone or somewhere like that. It'll tell you which cylinder.

Update I got the codes read and its misfiring on both sides and throwing codes for both o2 sensors (rears are deleted). I figure the misfiring is whats causing the o2 codes not the other way around but I could be wrong.
The biggest recent breakthrough is that this issue seems to have something to do with the car getting wet. When I drive it in the rain it seems to always act up. The manual says it will throw your ses light if you have recently driven through a puddle and your electical system got wet. My question is whats getting wet that could be causing it to misfire?

just an update in case anyone has this issue in the future. A few months ago i drove through a pretty deep puddle and i guess it soaked the o2's. I replaced them today and all is good.
